Ambleside is a vibrant town with numerous shops catering for day to day needs.  It has a variety of acclaimed restaurants offering different types of cuisine as well as a number of pubs serving bars meals and local ales.  There are numerous walks available from the village affording some spectacular views, a climbing wall and two cinemas for rainy day entertainment.
